Situated in Whitford, Auckland, this project presented numerous challenges for the Maxion Civil team. The scope involved the restoration and slip remediation of 50,000 m³ of earthworks and lime stabilisation, the construction of two Mechanically Stabilised Earth (MSE) walls, and the establishment of a track leading to the on-site garage. One MSE wall reached a height of 9 metres, while the other extended to 13 metres.

The works also required the removal of a deteriorated timber retaining wall, precision vertical drilling, and the importation of over 10,000 m³ of engineered fill along with geogrids to reinforce the structure.

This complex project showcased Maxion Civil’s expertise in delivering technically demanding slip remediation and earth stabilisation works with a focus on safety, resilience, and long-term durability.
