Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate, Otara
The drainage upgrade at Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate was initiated to address ongoing flooding and water damage across the school’s paved areas. The existing stormwater system was underperforming, resulting in surface deterioration and operational disruptions during heavy rainfall.
Maxion Civil was engaged to deliver a full scope of remedial works, including the removal and replacement of damaged stormwater infrastructure, installation of new catchpits, and improvements to pipe connections. The team also carried out jet cleaning and CCTV inspections to confirm the integrity of the existing network.
Beyond drainage works, the project included resurfacing key paved areas and reinstating school facilities affected during construction. All works were delivered in accordance with Ministry of Education standards and Auckland Council engineering requirements, with careful planning to minimise disruption and maintain safety across the school environment.
