This Health & Safety Policy, applies to all employees, subcontractors, clients, visitors, suppliers,
and any individuals associated with Maxion Group, including its subsidiaries such as BCG Civil Limited
T/A Maxion Civil, Maxion Building Services Limited, and others.
Our commitment to Health & Safety is based on the fundamental right for our staff to be safe in the
workplace. Together we strive to work on accident prevention, injury protection, and promotion of
the health, safety, and welfare of all workers. This includes initiatives to eliminate or minimize
all incidents or risks that could result in personal injury or damage to property.
To do this, we have implemented a structured Health and Safety Programme, which is continually
assessed and updated.
To keep the workplace safe, we must all follow safe work practices and reduce any risk in our own
work environment. It is the responsibility of all workers to:
- Look after their own safety and the safety of others.
-
Identify and address any unsafe conditions or work practices promptly. The Teammate software
program must be used to submit reports. In the event of accidents resulting in injury or
property damage, immediate reporting to the Managing Director is mandatory, and at the very
latest, within a 2-hour timeframe. All incident reports must be thoroughly investigated and
completed within 7 working days. (Reporting starts with any Near Miss.)
- Ensure that senior management is notified immediately in the case of notifiable incidents.
In meeting this commitment, all managers are responsible for providing the necessary resources,
time, coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure workers are skilled and equipped to keep
themselves and others safe in the workplace.
To achieve this, we have the following objectives:
- Provide a safe place to work, including appropriate safety equipment and materials;
- Provide appropriate induction, training, and supervision;
- Prevent injury and ill health;
- Proactively identify risks and unsafe behaviours and eliminate or minimize them;
- Monitor workplaces and workers’ health, especially in high-risk areas or activities;
- Provide occupational rehabilitation assistance and support the safe and early return to work;
- Assess and recognize the health and safety performance of employees;
- Require contractors to demonstrate the same commitment to health and safety performance;
- Comply with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards;
- Review, maintain, and continually improve our Health and Safety Programme; and
- Establish and maintain initiatives for worker consultation and participation.
