The Frank Grey Place deconstruction project involved the dismantling of eight Kāinga Ora houses, including asbestos removal, full house deconstruction, and the remediation of metal-contaminated soil.

Maxion Civil managed the entire process seamlessly, from planning through to completion. During the deconstruction phase, strict asbestos removal procedures were followed to protect both personnel and the surrounding environment. The safe extraction and decontamination of metal-contaminated soil formed a key part of the environmental management strategy.

In line with sustainability values, native timber, joinery, and other reusable materials were carefully salvaged and respectfully gifted to the local whānau community for reuse and repurposing.

The project was delivered with precision, completed on schedule, and required no additional remediation—highlighting Maxion Civil’s capability in delivering safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible outcomes.
