The Garus Avenue development in Māngere East was a fast-tracked project that involved the removal of 2,000 tonnes of general waste and 3,000 m³ of asbestos-contaminated soil, followed by the placement of 10,000 m³ of engineered fill to prepare the site for construction.

Maxion Civil successfully constructed new stormwater infrastructure, including 1,050 mm concrete pipelines, stormwater tanks, and a wastewater pump station with a three-phase power rising main. In addition, 3,000 m² of roading, kerb, and channel works were completed.

In preparation for the installation of precast homes, Maxion Civil carried out all required foundation works, decking, landscaping, and utility service installations. The entire development was delivered in just six months—approximately 30% of the average timeframe for a project of similar scale.
