Located in Whitford, Auckland, this project presented a number of logistical and engineering challenges. The scope of work involved restoring a major slip, constructing two large Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls, and building an access track to the on-site garage.
One of the MSE walls reached an impressive height of 9 meters, while the other extended up to 13 meters—requiring careful design and precision execution. The project also included the removal of a failing timber retaining wall, vertical drilling with high accuracy, and the importation of over 10,000m³ of engineered fill, reinforced with geogrids for long-term stability.
